We are excited about the vibrant group of youth who call FCC their home! Youth are a vital and active part of the church. They are involved in mission, worship, and all areas of service. They also find time for activities like lock-ins, a Fall Festival on the church grounds, summer camps, and creative fundraisers to support their mission activities.
Activities vary and include curriculum nights, service projects, and fun outings like ice skating, bowling, and laser tag. Regular youth gatherings occur Sunday evenings from 5-7 p.m. for fellowship, dinner, and learning and discussion in age-specific groups. Age categories include:
Junior Youth Fellowship (JYF), 3rd-5th graders
Chi-Rho, 6th-8th graders
Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) 9th-12th graders
We have a dedicated and dynamic group of sponsors! Their focus is on guiding youth as they grow in their faith, and they seek to help youth learn ways they can be active participants in the life of the church.
Summer camps for all age groups (K-12) are offered through Disciples Crossing in Athens, Texas. Youth (6th-12th) are also invited to attend fall and winter weekend, retreats at Camp Couchdale in Hot Springs. These opportunities are amazing times for growing closer to God, faith development, and making new friends.
Northwest Arkansas Youth from FCC-Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, and Millwood Christian Churches, join forces each summer to take a week-long mission trip to put “love into action.” They work in areas affected by natural disasters and provide hope and encouragement to people who are rebuilding their homes and lives.
